Frequently asked questions about Time Mist products

  • Do any Autoglym waxes contain carnauba?
  • Yes. Both the High Definition Wax and the Aqua Wax contain carnauba.
  • Does Super Resin Polish contain Silicone?
  • Yes it does.
  • Should I finish off my coat of High Definition Wax with a coat of Extra Gloss Protection?
  • Extra Gloss Protection and High Definition Wax are both paint sealants, although HD Wax has additional performance enhancing ingredients and also has excellent fine scratch masking qualities. They are not designed to be used together and there is no advantage in using them together.
  • What's the difference between Custom Wheel Cleaner and Clean Wheels?
  • Clean Wheels is an acid-based wheel cleaner suitable particularly for anodised wheels in good condition. Custom Wheel Cleaner is a more gentle, alkaline-based product, for use on chrome, polished aluminium and anodised finished wheels.
  • What's the difference between Ultra Deep Shine and Super Resin Polish?
  • They are different types of emulsion. UDS has been specially formulated to obviate fine surface scratching on dark paint finishes. Ultra Deep Shine contains a blend of waxes which cover minor scratches and haze with a smooth even gloss and enrich the vehicle’s colour. Super Resin Polish is ideal for all types of new or moderately deteriorated automotive paintwork including metallics, waterbased and lacquered finishes.
  • Why can't I use Car Glass Polish on headlamps and other acrylics and plastic components?
  • Because Car Glass Polish contains a fine powder which acts as the polishing agent to remove contaminants. Unfortunately this powder will scratch acrylics and plastics and so Fast Glass is not suited for use on these materials.
